Candlestick Patterns

Three White Soldiers

Three consecutive strong up candles, each opening within the prior body and closing near its high — a powerful bullish reversal.

Schematic of a three white soldiers — illustrative geometry, not a live price chart.

Three white soldiers are three long green candles in a row, each opening inside the previous candle's body and closing at or near its high with small upper wicks. Appearing after a decline or consolidation, the steady, controlled advance signals buyers have firmly taken control.

The cleanest version has bodies of similar size and little overhead wick. Watch for the move becoming overextended — soldiers that stretch too far, too fast can invite a pullback.

On StockSetups

A run of strong up days like three white soldiers reinforces the bullish bias on a StockSetups setup, where candlestick momentum is one input into the conviction read.
